Ethpaga Job Check is sold worldwide. Prices are shown in Australian dollars and include any sales tax, VAT or GST that applies where you live — the price you see is the price you pay. At checkout it is converted into your own currency, so the figure may not carry a dollar sign.
Payments are processed through the payment service identified at checkout. That service may collect and process your payment details and provide your receipt. Your card statement may show LINK.COM* ETHPAGA.
Ethpaga Pty Ltd operates and provides Ethpaga Job Check. For questions about the product, its operation, your checks or a refund, contact Ethpaga at hello@ethpaga.com.
The identity of the payment processor or seller of record does not remove any rights or obligations that apply under mandatory consumer protection law.
If something goes wrong, email us. We answer within two working days.
One check is one organisation. Your first is free. After that, three checks are A$19 and ten are A$39.
Checks never expire. There is no subscription and nothing renews.
Your code works on up to three devices — a phone, a laptop and one spare.
Checks live in your browser. There is no account, which is the point, but it means clearing your browser data loses any checks you have not used. Keep the code from your receipt and you can put them back.
Ask and you will get one. Email us, tell us roughly what happened, and we will refund the purchase.
This sits on top of your rights under the Australian Consumer Law, which we cannot and do not exclude. If something we sell you fails to do what it should, you may be entitled to a repair, replacement or refund under that law regardless of anything written here.
If you are in the European Union or the United Kingdom you normally have 14 days to cancel an online purchase without giving a reason.
We keep that right for everyone, wherever you live — including after you have used some or all of your checks. Email us within 14 days of buying and we will refund the purchase in full.
After 14 days the refund policy above still applies: it has no deadline and needs no reason. To cancel, email us saying so — a plain sentence is enough, there is no form to fill in.
This matters more than anything else on the page.
Ethpaga describes the work, not the person. It takes the way you say you work and the way a kind of workplace tends to run, and describes what the day-to-day work is commonly like when the two meet.
It must not be used to make decisions about anyone else. Not for recruiting, hiring, firing, promoting, screening, placing, assessing or managing any person. It is for your own use, about your own work.
It is not a personality test, a psychological assessment or a measure of ability, worth or performance. It is not career, legal, financial or medical advice. No result is better than another.
If you type an employer's name, it is used only to find the general kind of workplace it belongs to. Your result describes that kind of workplace, and shows the kind rather than the name. It is not a statement of fact about any organisation, and must not be presented as one. The organisation is never told, and never sees anything.
Outputs are estimates, not predictions. They depend on what you enter and on a great deal we cannot know. We do not promise that any result is accurate, for you or for any employer. Any decision you make is yours.
Ethpaga Job Check provides general informational estimates about how a person's stated working preferences may interact with a general workplace type. It is an informational tool, not a recruitment, employment, psychological assessment, career counselling or professional advisory service.
The results are generated using predetermined rules and available inputs. They are not a verified assessment of an employer's actual workplace, a guarantee of an individual's experience, or a reliable prediction of future events.
Workplaces, roles, managers, teams and working conditions differ and change over time. Actual experiences may differ substantially from the results.
You should independently investigate any employer, role and working conditions relevant to your circumstances. Use a result as one starting point for your own inquiries. Do not base an employment, resignation, relocation or other significant financial decision on it.
You may enter a short biography to help identify which of five predefined working-style categories best corresponds to the working style described in that text.
The biography is used to identify a general working-style category. The service does not produce a personal assessment of the biography's author or subject. The category is then used as an input to generate an estimate about a type of workplace.
You are responsible for ensuring that you are legally entitled to use any information you submit.
The biography is processed in your browser and is not transmitted to or stored by Ethpaga, as described under What leaves your device below.
You may instead type or say a short description of how you work, the place you are interested in and how long you have been there or when you would start. It is read in the same way, in your browser, only to select the three choices the service uses.
Ethpaga Job Check is not designed or authorised for assessing, profiling or making employment decisions about another person.
What you write about yourself never leaves your device. It is read in your browser and is not sent to us, stored or logged anywhere. That is how the page is built, not a promise about how we behave.
If you use the microphone, your browser’s own speech service (for example, Apple or Google) turns what you say into text, under that provider’s terms. The text then stays on your device like anything you type. Ethpaga does not receive the audio or the text.
To work out your result, the page sends our server the three choices you made — which working-style description, which kind of workplace, and how far in you are. Not your bio, not any name you typed, and nothing that identifies you. We do not keep them.
The organisation name, when it is not already on our built-in list, is looked up on Wikidata, a public reference run by the Wikimedia Foundation in the United States. The lookup is made by our server, not your browser, so Wikidata receives the name only — not your IP address or anything else about you. We do not keep the name.
If you buy checks, Stripe takes the payment and collects your email and card details. We never see your card. We receive a payment reference, which is how your checks are issued.
We count three things: how many people reach the paywall, how many start paying, and how many receipt codes are used. Each count carries only the time and your screen width. No names, no identifiers, no addresses, no organisation names, nothing about who you are.
Fonts and everything else on the page come from our own site. No other company is contacted when the page opens.
Our web host, Netlify, keeps standard server logs when the page loads, including your IP address, as every web host does. We do not use them to identify anyone.
We do not sell anything to anyone. Nothing you enter is shared with any employer.
To ask what we hold about you, or to have it removed, email hello@ethpaga.com. In practice the answer is usually a payment record, because that is close to all there is.
We will take reasonable steps to provide the service substantially as described on our website.
If the service experiences a technical failure, we will assess the issue and, where appropriate, restore access, provide a replacement check or refund the relevant purchase.
The service produces estimates based on its inputs and predetermined rules. A result that differs from your actual experience does not, by itself, establish that the service has malfunctioned.
Nothing in this section excludes, restricts or modifies any right, guarantee, remedy or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted or modified under applicable law.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Ethpaga Pty Ltd excludes liability for loss that the law permits it to exclude, including indirect or consequential loss arising from reliance on an estimate or from a decision made using the service.
Where liability cannot lawfully be excluded but may lawfully be limited, Ethpaga Pty Ltd limits that liability to the extent and in the manner permitted by applicable law.
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies a consumer guarantee, statutory right, remedy or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted or modified.
Nothing in these terms prevents a consumer from exercising a right or remedy available under applicable consumer protection legislation.
Job Check runs in a web browser. There is nothing to download and nothing to install. It works on current versions of Chrome, Safari, Edge, Firefox and Samsung Internet, on phones, tablets and computers. There is no copy protection on it.
You need to be 18 or over. The Ethpaga model, its categories and all text on the site belong to Ethpaga Pty Ltd — you may use it, not copy or resell it.
We may change these terms. A change applies from the date shown at the top, and only to purchases made after it. Checks you have already bought keep the terms that applied when you bought them, and any change does not take away rights you already have.
These terms are governed by the law of New South Wales, Australia — except that nothing in them affects consumer rights you have where you live that cannot be set aside. If something goes wrong, email us first; almost everything is fixable that way.
